It was a very busy year for the North Ridgeville Fire Department with an 80% increase in calls over the past 10 years. This year along the department experienced a 4.7% increase in call volume. Here is the final breakdown for their 2023 call volume.
“In 2022 we responded to 5026 calls for service and this year we experienced a 4.7% increase in call volume, ending the year with 5260 emergency calls for service. It should be noted that we do not include “public service” calls as emergency runs. These types of calls consist of smoke detector issues and Residential Knox Box installs to name just a couple.
“We also provide many extra services to residents to include, but not limited to, CPR classes (both certified and non-certified), Car Seat Checks, public and school education, station tours, smoke detector change outs for senior citizens and the physically disabled. Our Union also sponsors youth sports teams, stocks and co-sponsors the annual May fishing derby and is a collection point for Aluminum Cans for Burned Children.
“We look forward to a great 2024 and as always, should you need us, we’ll be here.”
Thank you North Ridgeville Fire Department
