2020 was certainly a busy year for the North Ridgeville Fire Dept. In addition to the countless hours of Fire and EMS training, hydrant flushing, hose testing, Knox Box installing, smoke detector battery changing, etc., they responded to 3,967 emergencies, about 10.9 per day. Of those calls for emergency service, 3,253 were medical emergencies. They also responded to 56 emergencies in other communities. The call volume in 2020 was up 168 calls over 2019.
