New Crosswalk Features at Bainbridge Road Increases Pedestrian Safety

North Ridgeville residents may have noticed new crosswalk features on Bainbridge Road between the library and the Senior Center. New lights and paint make it easier and safer for pedestrians to get to South Central Park from the City Municipal Complex and library.

The North Ridgeville Heart and Sole Collaborative and the City of North Ridgeville funded this improved crosswalk. Heart and Sole focuses on improving chronic disease in the City of North Ridgeville by encouraging active living and healthy eating. United Way of Greater Lorain County funds Heart and Sole, and Lorain County Public Health leads it.

Keep active outdoors this winter and visit the fitness trail at South Central Park. This winter, North Ridgeville Parks and Recreation Department will clear the trail of ice and snow for your safety.

South Central Park is located at 7565 Avon Belden Road in North Ridgeville.

Later this spring, adults with a Lorain Public Library System library card can check out a bike for a day. The Bike Share Program is supported through Heart and Sole, in partnership with the Lorain Public Library System.
