The Lorain County Board of Elections is undergoing renovations. These renovations are focused on security and safety for the public and our staff.
The Lorain County Commissioners have been working closely with the Board of Elections to secure funding and to complete this important project.
The front desk, Voter Registration, and candidate and issue services were made adequately secure by constructing walls with glass windows. These areas are secured to ensure only staff have access to areas with sensitive voter information. Not only will these upgrades provide additional security, the partitions will also help prevent the spread of any virus, or air-borne illness.
The whole building also received new flooring which updates the décor of the Board of Elections.
Director Adams, Deputy Director Kramer and all the members of the Board of Elections are very thankful to the Commissioners for their help and assistance in accomplishing this large project. These updates not only improve the appearance of the Board of Elections, but also streamline and improve voter service.
