North Ridgeville School District Celebrates Sandy Hook Promise Start with Hello Week

Next week, September 19-23, North Ridgeville City Schools is celebrating “Start with Hello” week- a national program that was derived from the tragedy at Sandy Hook. All buildings will be holding a themed ‘spirit week’ with activities to convey to students the importance of reaching out to others and helping students feel connected within the school community in an effort to prevent tragedies, like Sandy Hook, from happening again. It is largely coordinated by the district counseling department.  I have included the highlights from each building below.

Sandy Hook Promise, the non-profit that created this program, is holding their National Summit in North Ridgeville in April.  We are looking forward to their visit and feel honored they have chosen our district to hold this national conference this spring.
