RHTA Teacher Earns STEM Educator Award
Congratulations to Sheila Woidke, a fifth-grade teacher at Ranger High-Tech Academy, for earning the GrowNextGen Outstanding STEM Educator Award! GrowNextGen brings agriculture science to the classroom by providing real-world educational tools to engage the next generation workforce. The money earned will be utilized for educational resources.
Builders Club and KKids Collect Items for Troops, UNICEF
Builders Club and KKids collected items to stuff stockings to send overseas to U.S. troops who are unable to come home for the holidays. The clubs collected beef jerky, puzzle books, playing cards, and batteries. Because of the amazing generosity of the students and families of the North Ridgeville Academic Center, 686 stockings were filled for our troops. The Builders Club and KKids also collected money for UNICEF while trick or treating.
English Classes Act Out A Christmas Carol
This week in Ms. Cioffoletti’s seventh-grade English classes, students in the Purple Studio read and acted out segments from A Christmas Carol. The readings are followed by educational literary discussions about the book. The entire seventh-grade class at the North Ridgeville Academic Center acts out the play. Seventh-grade students will attend the performance of A Christmas Carol December 17 at Playhouse Square.
Students Participate in Mock Trial at Justice Center
On December 5, seventh and eighth-grade students participated in the Lorain County ESC Gifted Department Mock Trial at the Lorain County Justice Center. Our students worked hard preparing over the last two months as attorneys, witnesses, jurors, bailiffs, and court reporters.
