Georgia, On My Mind: Educate Yourself this Election Season

We are now in the middle of Election Season where we all have the opportunity to vote for various candidates and issues on the ballot. What a great opportunity that we all have to voice our opinion. This is America and we need to take advantage of the fact that we have many freedoms and rights as citizens.

Now remember in order to have a voice, you need to be registered to vote with the Board of Elections and place your ballot on or before Tuesday, November 5. Are you prepared to make a wise decision on who will lead our country and our county? Do you listen to what others tell you or do you take the time to read & hear about the candidates and issues.

There have been many opportunities to educate oneself. Have you taken advantage of these opportunities? Have you actually met the candidates so that you are able to form an opinion on your own? I would encourage you to ask questions and attend some local events. Listen to both sides and form your own opinion. Remember that everyone gets the opportunity to vote once in each election. Why not get educated before you mark your ballot. What will you do today to educate yourself about the candidates and issues on the ballot this Fall?
