On December 26, 2019, the North Ridgeville City Schools Board of Education voted to name Mr. Patrick East as the interim treasurer to replace Mr. Michael Verlingo, who recently accepted the position of treasurer at Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools, located east of Columbus.
“We are excited to welcome Mr. Patrick East to the North Ridgeville City Schools as our
interim treasurer. Mr. East, an experienced treasurer, will be a great asset to the District as we look to fill the position full time,” Board President Mrs. Kelly McCarthy said.
Mr. East served three years as the North Ridgeville City Schools treasurer from 1984-1987. He retired from Brunswick City Schools as treasurer in 2015. He currently teaches graduate courses as an adjunct faculty member at Baldwin Wallace University.
”I am pleased to return to the North Ridgeville City School District,” East said. “Since I last worked in the District, there has been much progress made in areas of academics, physical structures, and the enhancement of Ranger pride. I look forward to serving the community, students, and the Board of Education.”
“We are grateful to Mr. East for stepping in to manage District finances during this critical transition,” Superintendent Roxann Ramsey-Caserio said. “His vast experience and his familiarity with the community will be a great addition to the North Ridgeville team.”
East will officially start his assignment January 8, 2020.
