Description: Make It Monday: Don Mould’s Garden Center Fall Decor $15. Monday, October 13, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Meet Stacey at Don Mould’s Garden Center, 34837 Lorain Road, North Ridgeville to make a fall decor piece that can decorate your door or table for the season. Registration began Wednesday, Sept. 10. 20 spaces available. Everyone will meet at the location.

Lunch & Learn: Dementia Live

Lunch & Learn: Dementia Live on Tuesday, October 14 at 11:30 a.m. Sponsored by Northridge Rehabilitation & Care Center. Dementia Live® is a high impact, dementia simulation experience that immerses participants and caregivers into life with dementia, resulting in a deeper understanding of what it’s like to live with cognitive impairment and sensory change. Nature Walk (Meet Up)

Meet up at Sandy Ridge Reservation on Tuesday, October 14 at 1 p.m. We walk about 1.5 miles at a leisurely pace hoping to catch a glimpse of some animals on the way through Ohio.

Ladies Brunch

If you are 55 or older, join us for a hot entrée, coffee, fruit cup and juice for $4. Brunch includes a speaker or entertainment. To register, call (440) 490-2056. October 16, 10:30 a.m. – Christine Smith, Speaker and Certified Laughter Yoga Leader & Trainer. ‘Laugh for the Health of It!’ focuses on lightening up! You’ll learn little known facts about laughter as well as the many health benefits of laughter. For instance, laughing helps you release stress, boost your immune system and improve your overall health. We’ll laugh without relying on jokes or humor and discuss the many ways we can bring more lightheartedness and laughter into our lives!

Annual Health Fair for Older Adults

The Senior Center Health & Wellness Fair, originally scheduled for September is now October 23 from 9 to 11 a.m. In addition to a plethora of vendors focused on providing comprehensive health care, preventative, maintenance and wellness services, Marc’s Pharmacy will be on hand to administer shots. They will have both regular and the enhanced senior vaccines on hand. University Hospitals will once again be providing glucose and BP screening. Thank you to these partners, along with supporting presenters Mercy Health and North Ridgeville Heart & Sole.

Spaghetti Dinner

Join us for this community event that raises money for programs at the center on October 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. Adults $8, Seniors $7, Children 10 and under $5. Your ticket gets you a full plate of spaghetti with meatballs, garlic bread and salad. Soda and dessert are available for $1 each. Thank you to our sponsor, the VFW Post 9871.
