Home Instead Senior Care’s “Be a Santa to a Senior” Brings Holiday Joy to 225 Seniors in Lorain County

We at Home Instead Senior Care in North Ridgeville would like to sincerely thank everyone who participated in and contributed to Be a Santa to a Senior this holiday season.

Several “Be a Santa to a Senior” trees were placed throughout the Lorain County area and community members generously donated socks, blankets, toiletries and other requested items. Overall, 225 gifts were collected for 220 area seniors. We are grateful to all our volunteers and donors who helped brighten a senior’s holiday this year.

We would also like to thank our community partners who were instrumental in the success of this program including Tuffy Tire and Auto Service Centers on Cleveland Street and Leona Street in Elyria, Walmart at Chestnut Commons, Amy’s Hallmark in Avon Commons, Avon Brewing Company, Village Market and Bread and Brew in Wellington, City of Elyria Clerk of Courts, Civil, Records and Criminal Departments, Community of Faith United Church of Christ in Elyria, LaPorte United Methodist Church, Elyria Fraternal Order of Eagles 431 and the Elyria Eagle Riders!

Be a Santa to a Senior is a nationwide program that provides gifts and companionship to seniors. Home Instead Senior Care partners with local non-profit and community organizations to identify seniors who might not otherwise receive gifts during the holidays.
