O’Neill Healthcare North Ridgeville hosted a Drive Thru Lunch & Learn earlier this month that brought almost 100 guests to learn about the importance of getting an influenza vaccination.
Presented by John J. Wolf, DO, guests received information on the types of vaccinations available for older adults as well as those younger than 65. There is no preference to getting high-dose or lower dose vaccines – just get a vaccine! The high dose vaccine is reported to be more effective than standard dose in older adults.
Info was also shared on other important vaccines like pneumonia and shingles. Those who have had a shingles shot are urged to also receive the newer two-dose shot now available.
