Lorain County Clerk of Court Tom Orlando Partners with Ohio History Connection in Transfer of Naturalization Records

Tom Orlando, the Lorain County Clerk of Court, is pleased to announce the Clerk’s office has transferred its collection of immigration and naturalization records to the Ohio History Connection State Archives in Columbus. The records include declarations of intention, naturalization petitions, and indices thereto filed locally with the common pleas court dating back to 1853 in some cases. The State Archives holds and preserves records on a diverse range of topics from all 88 Ohio counties.
