Discount Drug Mart Inc., a family-run company since 1969, and now an employee-owned company, has opened its 78th store in Ohio, continuing to save people the runaround.
The new Lorain County location at 33633 Bagley Road in North Ridgeville boasts 28,500+ square feet and more than 60,000 items – including general merchandise (household needs, cosmetics and pet supplies), grocery, beer and wine items, fresh produce and full-service deli. The store also has a full range of patient health solutions (pharmacy and home health care) and a wide range of in-store services (photo center, Western Union and UPS).
“We’re thrilled to have Discount Drug Mart open and providing all their services and goods to our community,” said North Ridgeville Mayor Kevin Corcoran. “They’ve been a pleasure to work with and I wish them all the best as they join our North Ridgeville family.”
The new store held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, May 7 to celebrate the opening of the store at 33633 Bagley Road in North Ridgeville. The ribbon-cutting event included presentations from former North Ridgeville Mayor Dave Gillock, Ohio State Senator Nathan Manning, Ohio State Representative Gayle Manning and leaders and family members from Discount Drug Mart.
The legacy of Discount Drug Mart continues with the same values set forth by the late store owner.
“We are excited for the opportunity to serve the residents of North Ridgeville and other nearby communities,” said Don Boodjeh, Chief Executive Officer and son of company founder, Parviz Boodjeh. “Ever since my brothers and I worked in the stockroom, my father always instilled in us the value of customer service, we look forward to continuing to provide great customer service here in North Ridgeville.”
