Congratulations Gemma Kilgore

Gemma Kilgore on the podium and with her 3rd place medal!!! What a season for Gemma! She’s the first girl to place in an individual running event for North Ridgeville in many many years! Congrats one more time!

Bizworld Friendship Bracelets

As part of the Bizworld project, students in the fifth-grade blue studio were assigned to create their own friendship bracelet business, which helped them learn how to run a successful company. Yesterday, fourth-grade students visited the fifth-grade blue studio to purchase items from the bracelet companies!

“Playful Kitten” by Lilian Traxler

Congratulations to Lilian Traxler, a sixth-grade student in the teal studio, for winning The University of Akron’s Rubber Band Contest for Young Inventors in the Arts and Leisure category! Lily’s artwork, “Playful Kitten,” was selected from hundreds of entries from around the country. Lily will collect a $300 prize!

Peer Fairytale

Assigned to write a fairytale about their younger peer, today, eighth-grade green studio students visited the third-grade purple studio to present and read the illustrated books!

The Amazing Shake Winners

Seventh-grade NRAC Students who were selected as the winners of The Amazing Shake competition were acknowledged on Friday for their accomplishments! Courtesy of The Amazing Shake sponsors Northridge Health Center, Orlando Baking Co., and the NREA, $500 was donated to each winner’s chosen nonprofit: Multiple Breed Rescue, Girl Scouts of Northeast Ohio, and Rec2Connect.

Lynn Pritt Finalist for Master Teacher Award

The Jennings Foundation selected Lynn Pritt as a statewide finalist for the Ohio Master Teacher Award, recognizing her as one of Ohio’s exemplary public school teachers! Ms. Pritt teaches American Government and AP American Government at the high school. Congratulations, Lynn!

ECLC Science Day

Kindergarten students at the ECLC participated in Science Day, an educational and fun hands-on experience for students to engage in science!

Congratulations Brynn Born

We are proud to announce that Brynn Born, a sixth-grade math teacher at the Academic Center in the green studio, was selected as a statewide finalist for the Ohio Award for Excellent Teaching in Mathematics, the George B. Chapman Mathematics Teaching Award, recognizing her as one of Ohio’s exemplary public school teachers!

Kids Heart Challenge

ECLC and students in grades 3-4 at the Academic Center raised money as part of the Kids Heart Challenge. The challenge is an opportunity for students to learn about keeping their hearts and brains healthy while also helping others. Collectively, the two schools raised $11.833.51 for the American Heart Association initiative. Kindergarten student Baylor Timoteo raised over $500 and fourth-grade student Adrianna Layne collected $216.76!

Lorain County ESC Art Exhibit

At the Lorain County ESC Elementary-Middle School Art Exhibit, two eighth-grade students earned the People’s Choice Award. Rachel Depenbrok (top left) placed 1st and Gianna Sanfilippo placed 3rd (top right). Eighth-grade student Aubrianna Dudas (bottom left) and seventh-grade student Evareaux Millett (bottom right) were Honorable Mentions!
