2024 Lions Club Food Drive

The North Ridgeville Lions Club Food Drive for Community Care was a huge success! The Lions Club made the announcement below last Friday.

THANK YOU NORTH RIDGEVILLE!!! You knocked it out of the park with this year’s food drive!!! You beat last year’s record by over 2000 lbs!!!

The total amount collected in lbs, for the 2024 NR Lions Club Food Drive for Community Care was…..9,140.8 lbs!!!!!! We are overjoyed!

A huge thank you to the North Ridgeville City Schools, St. Peter’s School, our churches and community members! We could not do it without you!

Thank you to our volunteers from our Lions Club and our Leo Club, and to Community Care for allowing us to collaborate so that we can live up to our motto “We Serve”!

A special thank you to Damon Maloney TV from Channel 5 News at 5 for seeing the need here and getting the word out for us on his newscast!

And now for the school contest winner!

The winner, for the 3rd year in a row, was St. Peter School! St. Peter’s beat their record from last year (2,876.48 lbs) by bringing in 4,452.34 lbs this year!!! We were blown away by these numbers!!!

The trophy will remain at St. Peter’s this year!

We appreciate all of our schools and families! Here were the other totals from each of the North Ridgeville City Schools: North Ridgeville High School 1212.25 lbs • North Ridgeville Academic Center 786.75 lbs • Ranger High Tech Academy 310.9 lbs • Liberty Elementary 722.86 lbs • Early Childhood Learning Center 941.85 lbs • Overall the North Ridgeville City Schools brought in 3974.61 lbs! General Community Donations added up to 713.85 lbs!

In addition, we had $390 donated online to Community Care!

We are so proud to live in a community that cares so much for their neighbors. We will be back next year reaching for a goal of 10,000 lbs!
