Ranger High-Tech Academy seventh-grade students in Spanish I gave back to the community by developing a service project for Spanish-speaking immigrants in the area.
In the last month, students created gift bags for the 170 immigrant workers at Willow Nurseries Inc. in Avon. Included in the gift bags were emergency cards in Spanish with important contact information and small gifts representing the community that was made on the RHTA fabrication equipment.
Letters in Spanish from our younger learners, toothbrushes and toothpaste from the school’s dental business partners, a brochure about the area created in Spanish, a water bottle, hand sanitizer, sunscreen, Band-Aids, and snacks were donated by RHTA families.
