North Ridgeville residents observed Memorial Day with the unveiling and dedication of the new North Ridgeville Veterans Memorial.
Hundreds participated in the day that began with a parade from the high school to the new Veterans Memorial on the corner of Bainbridge Road and State Route 83.
The new memorial features a walk-around fountain with large plaques in memory of every war. Smaller plaques feature all the names of North Ridgeville natives lost in American wars along with flags honoring the nation, state and branches of the military. Brick pavers, purchased to honor city veterans, surround the tranquil area.
