North Ridgeville City Schools to Host Ranger Rally, Time Capsule Opening, and New High School Groundbreaking in One Unforgettable Event

The North Ridgeville City School District will launch the 2025–2026 school year with a high-energy community celebration on Friday, August 15, 2025, beginning at 4:30 PM inside Ranger Stadium. This year’s Ranger Rally promises to be extra special as it combines the district’s traditional back-to-school festivities with two major milestones: the opening of the 2000 Wilcox Time Capsule and the official groundbreaking for the new North Ridgeville High School.

Families and community members are invited to kick off the evening with food trucks, bounce houses, back-to-school signs, and informational booths from local organizations and district departments. It’s a perfect opportunity to reconnect, get excited for the year ahead, and enjoy an evening filled with school spirit and community pride.

At 5:30 PM, the celebration will shift to the front circle of the current high school for a special moment in district history: the unveiling of the 2000 Wilcox Time Capsule. The North Ridgeville Historical Society, along with the Wilcox Principal from the year 2000, will join the district in reflecting on the past and sharing this unique moment with the community.

The event will conclude with the groundbreaking ceremony at the construction site of the new North Ridgeville High School at 6:00 PM. Attendees will hear remarks from Superintendent Roxann Ramsey-Caserio, Board of Education President Frank Vacha, a student from the Class of 2026, and more. This will mark the start of an exciting new chapter for North Ridgeville students.
