North Ridgeville Review The Community That Cares
The community of North Ridgeville turned out in a big way for Sgt. Sean Ortiz, 33, who passed away unexpectedly from heart complications while on duty on on Feb. 15.
Proceeding from Cleveland Hopkins Airport, Sgt. Ortiz’ procession was met by many who stood roadside in respect and farewell on the way to Bognar Funeral Home in North Ridgeville, where services were held two weeks ago.
Sean was born in Lorain, OH on September 6, 1991, and was currently serving in the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, in Fort Drum, NY when he died. He had recently spent time at home from his latest overseas deployment on Monday February 10, 2025, getting to spend a short time with his family before his tragic passing.
