Lorain County Health & Dentistry (LCH&D) will host its eighth annual Wine Down by the Water fundraiser on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 5:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Sunset Terrace at Lakeview Park in Lorain.
As the health center’s only fundraising event of the year, Wine Down by the Water brings together community members, business leaders, and supporters for an evening of food, wine, beer, and live music along the Lake Erie shoreline. The relaxed setting is paired with a meaningful cause, as proceeds from the evening go directly toward expanding access to care.
“We will use funds raised at Wine Down by the Water to help offset the cost of care for those whose household may not have the means. Without support, many of these individuals would go without the care they need or turn to local emergency rooms for their health needs,” said Ben Kosewski, President & CEO of LCH&D.
That commitment is at the heart of LCH&D’s mission to provide medical and dental care to those most in need in our community. As Lorain County’s largest community health center, the nonprofit operates six health centers across Lorain, Elyria, Oberlin, and North Ridgeville. In 2024 alone, LCH&D delivered 53,992 medical and dental visits to over 18,000 unique patients. Since opening in 2002, LCH&D has provided more than one million visits to vulnerable populations throughout the community!
By coming together for Wine Down by the Water, our community not only enjoys a memorable evening but also helps ensure that thousands of neighbors continue to receive the care they deserve.
