Thank you to everyone who joined us for Coffee and Conversation Monday morning. It was a thoughtful discussion with great questions and community insight.
We were pleased to welcome Kathy Bly and Jeff Sigsworth from the Historical North Ridgeville Historical Society who shared details about the America 250-Ohio display currently featured at the North Ridgeville Branch Library highlighting local businesses such as Ridge Tool, Dreco and Amidon Fittings.
There was also discussion regarding the Meijer application. As the next step, the project will move through the Board of Zoning & Building Appeals and the Planning Commission. As part of that review, Meijer will submit its own traffic study.
If approved, the project could help accelerate elements of the Gateway North Ridgeville plans, including the proposed roundabout at Cypress Avenue and Lear Nagle Road and a traffic signal at Cypress Avenue and Lorain Road.
Residents also raised concerns about FirstEnergy’s request to allow longer and more frequent power outages. Those wishing to share concerns are encouraged to contact the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio.
Additional topics included ongoing efforts to identify funding sources to restore Old Town Hall, cemetery capacity planning and the upcoming 100-year birthday of City Hall in 2028.
We appreciate the continued engagement and look forward to keeping these conversations going.
Below is the schedule for 2026.
