As we continue into this winter season, with Mother Nature delivering a few cold and snowy blasts along the way, I encourage everyone to drive carefully, allow extra time on the roads and check in with neighbors who may need a helping hand. A community that looks out for one another is one of North Ridgeville’s greatest strengths. I want to take this opportunity to recognize our Public Works crews for their dedication and long hours keeping our streets open and safe for travel.
There has been considerable interest recently in the proposed Meijer application. While this request is still early in the review process, it reflects broader economic development activity underway in our city. Our focus remains on thoughtful, responsible growth that supports a strong local economy while preserving the quality of life residents expect.
February is a time to revisit goals, and at the city level, our focus remains on planning wisely, communicating clearly and balancing current needs with long-term priorities.
We are continuing work on the Parks and Recreation Master Plan, an important initiative that will help guide future investments in our parks, programs and recreational spaces. I encourage you to learn more as this planning process moves forward.
Last month, I had the pleasure of attending the Chicken Paprikash dinner at the Senior Center. It was wonderful to see so many residents gathered and I truly enjoyed spending time with members of our community. With double the usual attendance and very positive feedback from residents, chicken paprikash will return on April 24. It’s great to see our community coming together!
Thank you for caring for our community and supporting North Ridgeville every day.
Best Regards, Mayor Kevin Corcoran
