RHTA Annual Field Day
What a day at RHTA’s Annual Field Day! Students and staff came together on Friday for an unforgettable day of fun, teamwork, and friendly competition. From the bounce house obstacle course and tug-of-war battles to corn hole, water balloon tosses, and even a dunk tank, there was excitement around every corner! Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success — memories were made, laughs were shared, and school spirit was on full display!
State Bound!
Congratulations to Macie Miller and Halle Edge on qualifying for the OHSAA State Track & Field Meet! Macie Miller has earned a spot in the High Jump, marking her second trip to the State Meet! Halle Edge has qualified in the 400-meter dash. The State meet took place on Saturday, June 6 in Columbus. Congratulations, Rangers! Go get ‘em!
Cardboard Into Creativity
Students in Mrs. Marhevka’s class turned cardboard into creativity during the last week of school by designing and building their very own arcade games! Inspired by the story Caine’s Arcade, students used imagination, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to bring their ideas to life. From creating the games to playing them with classmates, everyone had an amazing time celebrating their hard work and creativity!
Habitat Trail
For the past three years, RHTA 5th-grade students have worked together to create our Habitat Trail — a student-driven project focused on helping our local ecosystem. Students built pollinator gardens and houses, collected native seeds, helped slow invasive species, and created interactive QR code stations to teach others about local habitats and biodiversity. We’re also proud to share that RHTA was named a Wild School Site by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, with a special celebration held alongside the Habitat Trail project. This meaningful project showcases the creativity, teamwork, and dedication of our students and the lasting impact they’ve made on our school community.
4th Grade History Pass
Ohio students who completed 4th grade in the 2025–2026 school year and up to THREE family members or friends to visit participating museums and historic sites across Ohio completely FREE during July 2026. The classic 4th Grade History Pass which admits one 4th grader for free with paid adult can be used now through June and again in August. NRAC Fun Run
What an incredible day at the NRAC Fun Run! With beautiful weather and lots of energy, our students spent Friday outside running, dancing, hopping around the circle, enjoying popsicles, and soaking up the sunshine — all while raising money for the Academic Center! Thanks to the generosity and support of our amazing families, we raised over $19,000! We are so proud of our students for their enthusiasm and participation, and so grateful to everyone who helped make this event such a huge success.
Wax Museum
Students in 5 Purple brought history to life with their very own Wax Museum! Each student chose a person to research, created a display board, and practiced portraying their person as a “living” wax figure. Parents, staff, and community members were invited to walk through the museum and “press the button” to activate each figure, learning about the important contributions they made to society. What an engaging and creative way to celebrate learning and highlight influential figures!
Hands-on Science + Teamwork in Action!
Students in 6 Teal teamed up with 3 Orange to explore the Rock Cycle using AirHeads candy! Together, they tore, smashed, melted, and reshaped the candy to model how rocks change through the cycle over time. Watching the “rocks” solidify and begin the process all over again made learning both interactive and fun! Amazing collaboration, creativity, and teamwork by all involved!
Reverse Career Fair
Last month, our 8th Grade NRAC students hosted an incredible Reverse Career Fair! Students explored careers they’re passionate about by researching:
- Required education & training
- Salary expectations
- How to prepare during high school
They then stepped into the role of the expert, sharing their knowledge with 6th & 7th grade students and members of our local community! We are so proud of the hard work, professionalism, and leadership our students demonstrated throughout this experience. Great job, Rangers!
Adaptable Athletics Day
Adaptable Athletics Day was a HUGE SUCCESS! Our ABLE students took part in adapted track & field events, and the encouragement, energy, and school spirit could be felt everywhere! Every athlete showed determination, teamwork, and heart throughout the day. A HUGE thank you to our amazing sponsors for making this event possible. We truly couldn’t do it without your support!
April Rider of the Ridge Winners
Congratulations to our April Rider of the Ridge Winners! These outstanding students were surprised in their classrooms in recognition of their exceptional behavior on the bus throughout the month of April. Their positive attitudes, responsibility, and Ranger STRONG spirit make a difference every day! We are so proud of the way these students represent our school both in and out of the classroom. Human Ice Cream Sundaes
Huge congratulations to the incredible staff at Liberty Elementary! Last month, during an all-school assembly, Liberty Elementary was proudly presented with the prestigious OAESA Hall of Fame School Award in recognition of their dedication to providing outstanding educational opportunities for their students. What an amazing achievement! But the celebration didn’t stop there… To cap off a successful Fun Run Fundraiser, Principal Puleo and Assistant Principal Bohm became HUMAN ICE CREAM SUNDAES! The top 10 student earners had the honor of covering their administrators with ice cream, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and sprinkles during a hilarious and unforgettable celebration. It was the perfect way to recognize a year filled with hard work, school spirit, and student success!
ABLE Fishing Derby
On Friday, May 8, the North Ridgeville Rotary Club hosted their annual Fishing Derby for our ABLE students — and what an incredible day it was! From a delicious grilled lunch to hands-on fishing lessons, our students enjoyed an afternoon full of fun, learning, and unforgettable memories. A huge thank you to the members of the North Ridgeville Rotary Club for your continued generosity, kindness, and dedication to our students. Your support and community spirit make a lasting impact!
