Ted Smith Talk: God and Your Brain: June 15 & 22 • 1 PM – Is God just in your head? The amazing answer might be ‘yes,’ but not how an atheist might believe. Neurological evidence suggests our brains have evolved a neuro-physical ability to perceive beyond our sense of self to a greater presence. An encounter with God is a “neurologically real” experience. Let’s explore how the brain perceives God and how the mind interprets the encounter.

Meet Up Dinner: June 17 • 5:30 PM – Join Stacey for a delicious dinner at local favorite Between the Bun. Owners John & Lacia Rutherford are wonderful hosts for our group. Don’t miss supporting one of our neighbors! Register by June 14

Ladies Brunch: June 18 • 10:30 AM – American Royalty, Grace & Jackie: Julie Koenig will discuss the early life, school, and family for the working Princess and First Lady. From meeting their famous husbands to marriage, children, tragedy and legacy. Cost $4. Call 440-490-2056 to make reservations.

An Evening of Line Dancing: June 19 • 6-9 PM – Grab your friends and get ready to kick up your heels for a lively night of dancing, laughs and good company. Come ready with your song requests- lists will be available so you can be sure your favorites will be part of the evening. Cost $10.

Try It Tuesday: June 23 • 12 PM – This program offers a fun way to explore different cultures, regions or even go back in time through food or different food preferences/diets (vegan, dairy­free, low-carb, Mediterranean, etc.). In May, we are rolling back the calendar for Staples of S0’s Life (you may just encounter a childhood favorite OR food foe). In June, we’ll head south for Southern Favorites. Register by the previous Friday. Cost $3.

Foot Care: June 24 • 8 AM – Appointments are first come first served by the sign-in sheet at the front desk. If it is your first visit with the doctor, contact Dr. Emmert’s Office at (216) 529-1800 before your appointment to verify they have the necessary information.

The Farm at Walnut Creek: June 25 • 9:30 AM-4 PM – Tour a wildlife park by horse drawn wagon, where you will encounter a large variety of exotic animals. Enjoy an Amish-style lunch and visit a local cheese market. You must be able to do the 6 steps on and off of the wagon and sit on a hay bale for the tour. Admission to the wildlife park is $18 and animal feed is $3 – not included in the field trip price. Registration begins Wednesday, May 20 at 1 p.m. 13 spots available on the bus.

America 250: Soulful Trails: June 30 • 11 AM – Cuyahoga Valley National Park: June’s America 250 theme is Ohio Outdoors. Annette Kramer of Soulful Trails will present on Ohio’s national park, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Northeast Ohio. Winding along the historic Cuyahoga River, the park offers a rich and diverse landscape perfect for peaceful walks, fishing or a challenging hike. Register by June 29.
